How do I receive cryptocurrencies?

Receiving cryptocurrencies through Mercury Iconex is simple, secure and fast.

Here are the steps for beginners:

Log In to your Account:

Go to our website and click on ‘Start Trading’ and select Login on our exchange.

If you have not yet created an online account, we recommend doing so.See our Knowledge Base article ‘How do I start or open an account’ for the necessary steps.

Log in with your registered username and password.
Complete two-factor authentication (2FA) if enabled.

Navigate to the E-Wallet or Balance Section:

Search for the ‘E-Wallet’ or ‘Wallet’ section.
Click this to get an overview of the cryptocurrencies available on Mercury Iconex.

Select the Cryptocurrency you Want to Receive:

-Click on the cryptocurrency you want to receive (e.g. Bitcoin, Ethereum or Suriname Reserve Digital Currency).

Click on the ‘Deposit’ or ‘Receive’ option.

Generate your Wallet Address:

Select the appropriate network address if needed (ERC20, TRC20, BEP20, Polygon). Each network has its own advantages. Agree with the sender which network is applicable.
After selecting the right network, click ‘Generate Wallet Address’ and a wallet address will be generated.
This is the unique address you should have the cryptocurrency sent to.

Copy Wallet Address:

Copy the generated wallet address to your clipboard.
Make sure you copy the full address without errors.

To scan your address, tap the small barcode next to your account details.

Share the Wallet Address with the Sender:

Send the copied wallet address to the person or entity that wants to send you the cryptocurrency.
Make sure you share the address with the sender in a secure way. (e.g. email, sms, whatsapp, social-media)

Cryptocurrencies sent to incorrectly entered wallet addresses will be lost to you completely.Cryptocurrencies sent to the wrong network or if the cryptocurrency choices of receiver and sender do not match, you will lose the cryptocurrencies.These cryptocurrencies cannot be traced. So check the transaction details several times before sharing it with the sender.

Wait for the Transaction:

The sender will send the cryptocurrency to your wallet address.
It may take some time for the transaction to be processed by the blockchain, depending on network traffic.

Check your Balance:

Once the transaction is confirmed, the amount received will appear in your Mercury Iconex E-Wallet.
You can check the status of the transaction and your updated balance in the ‘Transaction History’ section of your account.

Additional Tips:

Address check: Make sure you share the correct wallet address. A wrong address can lead to loss of funds. If possible, use the QR code scanning function to avoid errors.

Security: Only share your wallet address with trusted parties. Never share sensitive account information.

Confirmations: The number of network confirmations required can vary by cryptocurrency and exchange. Check this on your account to know when the transaction is fully completed.
